We use the freshest local produce, and so our menu changes daily. Always included is the finest fish from that day's catch in Youghal harbour, locally reared beef and lamb, seasonal vegetables and a delicious array of various home baked bread.

The menu includes imaginative dishes created by our award winning Chef, David Fitzgibbon, and traditional dishes prepared with the finest ingredients available. Our extensive wine list has been carefully selected to offer variety and to suit all palates.

We had a lovely time in Aherne's townhouse and the tasting menu which we had was delicious. Overall the standard of food was very high. I had booked Ahernes as a birthday weekend away and my only complaint, which is quite small in the grand scheme of things was that I had been told that a cake would be provided on the night we had dinner in the restaurant. Unfortunately, there was an oversight and there was no mention of my Fiancees birthday despite two other tables in the restaurant having birthday also and being given a cake throughout the night - this further highlighted the fact that we got missed out and my Fiancee was alittle disappointed. Aside from this though, we had a lovely time and would certainly recommend this hotel.
Had two very relaxing days in Aherne's which were enjoyed by the fact that the Staff were so friendly and made us feel at home immediately. We enjoyed the food especially the FISH was sad to be going home. Will definitely make a return visit.
