Fantastic beaches and right at the mouth of the River Blackwater, Youghal is picturesque but also steeped in history. That's over 5 Kilometres of fabulous beaches to enjoy, with safe swimming (life guards on duty during peak season), and lovely coastal walks.

There's lots of lovely restaurants and traditional pubs and a newly renovated boutique cinema within walking distances of us as well as the gorgeous new craft quarter where you can buy pieces from talented local artists.

Sailors will enjoy the safe anchorage of Youghal harbour with a brand-new pontoon - boat owners who may now come ashore on foot without the requirement of a tender /dingy. Get outdoors and take a cruise along the stunning Blackwater River with Captain Tony Gallagher on ‘The Maeve’ Blackwater Cruise or book a round of golf at Youghal Golf Club– a scenic and challenging 18 hole Par 71, Parkland Golf Course.

Step into a piece of Youghal’s unique history and visit The Raleigh Quarter encompassing a Guided Tour of Mary’s Collegiate Church, our medieval National Monument or visit Youghal’s newly renovated Clock Gate Tower.

Looking to hire bikes during your visit? Local providers Youghal Greenway Bike Hire are open 7 days a week through the summer months, with everything from kids bikes, hybrids and electric bikes with a 100km range. 

A short drive away 

There's so much to do on our doorstep, discover the ancient art of Irish whiskey and gin production with a guided tour of a working distillery at Blackwater Distillery.

Or take a spin and get outdoors with a walk along the fabulous cliffs in Ardmore (15 mins drive) or cycle the famous Waterford Greenway (20 mins drive).  Stretch yourself a little more with a hike up Coumshingaun Mountains. 

Another spot nearby and well worth a visit is Lismore. Lismore Heritage Centre opened in 1992 to share insights into Lismore’s formidable history and heritage. Boasting a picturesque location at the foot of the Knockmealdown Mountains, Lismore is famous for the magnificent Lismore Castle (dating back to 1185) that was once the home of, the famous Broadway performer, Adele Astaire and Kathleen Kennedy, sister of John F.
